Local Business Owner Angela V. Carlington Named to NSBA Leadership Council

NORMAN, OKLAHOMA – ANGELA V. CARLINGTON, PCD CONSULTING, was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis. Mrs. Carlington, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

“As a small-business owner of Professional and Community Development Consulting (PCD), I see daily the importance of being involved and active when it comes to laws and regulation,” stated Mrs. Carlington. “Joining NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress.”
“As with most business owners, I wear many hats. I've had the honor of serving our country for 26 years, retiring from the Air Force as an officer (Major) in 2015. I’m an aspiring author, having written a book shortly after retiring. I’m committed to creating a movement where more people are empowered with tools needed to solve issues that trouble them personally and professionally. Experience has shown that unresolved personal issues become societies issues.”

Mrs. Carlington joined the NSBA Leadership Council as part of ongoing efforts to tackle the many critical issues facing small business, including tax reform, regulatory restraint, health care costs and how access to capital will impact small business. The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing valuable networking between small-business advocates from across the country while ensuring small business a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key small-business proposals.

Charles Devon Gladney Sr. is a native of Birmingham, AL. He joined the United States Army after graduating from high school and received an honorable discharge after serving 11 years of dedicated and committed service to his country. He deployed three times to Iraq and once to Afghanistan in support of America’s fight against terrorism.

His previous employers include Lockheed Martin Corporation where he served as a Senior Field Service Officer; Federal Government’s, Aviation and Missile Command, as a Rocket System Logistician; Oklahoma Department of Veteran Affairs where he served as the Administrator.

Charles Gladney is an ordained Elder/Pastor within the Churches of God in Christ Inc. Organization. Pastor Charles Gladney is enthusiastic about helping others achieve their greatest potential in life. He serves as founder of “The Lawton Samaritan Foundation and Food Bank” a ministry that helps combat the ongoing food insecurities within the
Lawton/Fort Sill area. Operation I.M.P.A.C.T., an Initiative that Motivates Parents and Children for life Transformation, is an outreach plan that will focus on the total man, which will be implemented in spring of 2024.

Oklahoma Norman, Ok, and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Management from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri.

Charles Gladney Sr. is married to Jeanine Gladney, and they have three wonderful, gifted, and talented sons, Jevontee (Graduate of UA-Huntsville, Al), Charles Jr. (Sophomore, Calhoun Community College, Huntsville, Al) and Jediael (Sophomore, OU, Norman, Oklahoma).
